Not everything we do makes the planned drop.
When the Found Sound series went live, the collection was already set. Each piece had its place, and the direction behind it was clear, what I had spent weeks organising came together. It was built around the idea of music you had to find, carry, and hold onto, with influences drawn from record shops, cassettes, and moments in time from the pre-digital era.
The Crate Digging design in Jade Tone wasn’t part of that. It wasn’t included in the release and didn’t sit within the original selection that shaped the collection, but it still came back from the printer. The construction was the same, with heavy cotton, detailed graphic work, and the same process behind it. The only difference is that this colourway was never built into the original run.
Sometimes a piece comes through like that. It isn’t part of what was originally planned, but it still carries the same intent behind it. It doesn’t need much explaining, it just exists slightly outside of everything else while still feeling like it belongs.
There are only three of these, across three different sizes, with no additional stock and no second run behind them. Once they’re gone, that’s the end of it. It doesn’t include the certificates or numbered dog tags that come with other limited pieces, as it was never intended to be part of that format. That doesn’t take anything away from it though, it just places it differently within the Pauzewear brand.
It still holds the same meaning as everything around it. But there will only be three people able to own this piece, which gives it a level of rarity that stands on its own.
It’s the kind of piece you come across unexpectedly. Something that wasn’t part of what you were looking for, but ends up being the one you take with you anyway.
That’s what this is.
A one-off that sits slightly outside of the main run, but still carries the same energy as the rest of the Found Sound series.
If you know, you know.
