Our Story

Pauzewear grew out of a lifetime spent around music, creativity and independent culture.

Founded by Gav Pauze and based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Pauzewear is an independent UK streetwear brand built on the belief that clothing can carry culture, creativity and individuality.

The journey began with Pauzeradio.com, launched in 2009 as an archive for Gav’s radio shows. Over time the site evolved beyond music, expanding in 2014 with the addition of a vinyl shop and gradually introducing clothing inspired by roots culture, conscious living and the visual side of music.

In 2024, Gav began collaborating with graphic designer Pascal Ruegg. Sharing a deep appreciation for music and design, their partnership helped push the clothing in a new direction.

By 2025, after several successful releases and a growing community around the brand, Pauzewear launched as its own independent label, allowing the clothing to grow with greater creative freedom while Pauzeradio continued focusing on music and radio culture.
