Most clothing now is made to be worn a few times, then replaced. New drops every week, lower prices, faster turnover. Over time, the connection to what you wear starts to fade. That was never the intention here.
The Problem With Fast Fashion
Fast fashion isn’t just about price. It comes down to how things are made, and how long they are expected to last. Pieces are produced quickly and in large numbers, often using lighter materials and prints that do not stand the test of time. After a few wears, they can lose their shape or feel, and it becomes easier to replace them than keep them.
There is rarely much behind them. No real reason to hold onto them long term. Over time, they become easy to replace, rather than something you keep.
What We Do Instead
We approach things differently. The focus is on making pieces that hold up, using heavy cotton, prints that last, and designs that are not tied to short-term trends. It's not about releasing more, it is about releasing something that has been properly thought through. Something you can wear regularly without it losing its place.
Small Drops Over Mass Production
We do not produce in huge quantities. Most pieces are kept in small numbers, with core designs restocked when stock starts to run low. That allows the range to stay available without holding large amounts of excess stock.
Some releases are more limited, but the wider approach stays the same. Keeping things controlled means we only bring in what is needed. We are not interested in overproducing just to have more out there.
It’s Not Just the Clothing
The way something arrives matters as well. Every order is packed with a purpose, we use reusable garment bags, structured protective packaging, and all those details are there for a reason. If the piece is made with care and to last, everything around it should follow the same thinking.
You can read more about this in our Journal post, Why Packaging Matters.
Why It Costs More
It's easy to compare prices. There are cheaper options available almost everywhere. But when something is made to last, produced in smaller runs, and built with more attention behind it, it naturally sits in a much different place.
It's not about competing with fast fashion. It is about offering something that does not need to be replaced after a few wears.
A Different Approach
We're not trying to keep up with constant releases or produce as much as possible. The aim is simple. Make pieces that feel right, make them properly, and let them speak for themselves.
You’ll see this approach carried through future pieces.
