Pete didn't discover Pauzewear through social media or advertising. Instead, he was introduced to the brand by his baby sister and best pal, Shanie (Skinz). What started as an introduction quickly turned into something he genuinely enjoyed being part of.

He describes himself as a sociable person who loves spending time with family, friends and his local community. Those who know him would also describe him as incredibly generous, always willing to help others and happy to give a hand whenever he could.

Music has always been a huge part of his life, with artists like Pink Floyd, T. Rex, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Enya, Diana Ross and Bob Marley among his favourites. Whether enjoying a drink with friends or listening to the music that shaped his life, Pete appreciates the simple things.

Family sits at the heart of Pete's story. His proudest moment was walking his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day. He also speaks proudly about his two granddaughters who live in Australia and, of course, Eileen, the love of his life.

Home is shared with his cat, Booze, and two fish tanks, while gardening and putting his handyman skills to good use are hobbies he enjoys in his spare time.

Pete's first Pauzewear piece was the My Walkman T-Shirt, and it's remained his favourite ever since.

"It's old school and I like the colours. The blue is vibrant and it's made brilliantly. I'm 71 years old and it made me feel young."

For Pete, Pauzewear is about much more than clothing. Being welcomed into The Collective and receiving his own Collective Portrait meant just as much as wearing the designs themselves.

"Pauzewear is stylish and run by a close friend of my best friend and it made my day to be made part of The Collective, have my own cartoon character and be part of the community."

Looking back, Pete misses a time when people could simply get together, dance and enjoy music without negativity. Those memories of people coming together are something he'd happily experience all over again. Family, close friends, neighbours and the people around him are what matter most, and it's those relationships that continue to shape his outlook on life.

If someone had never heard of Pauzewear before, Pete's description couldn't be more honest.

"It's f*****g terrific, f*****g great. I have a potty mouth, sorry."

Looking ahead, Pete would love to see designs inspired by the music that has influenced him throughout his life. Ideas inspired by the 1970s and 1980s, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, The Rolling Stones or Bob Marley would all be right up his street.

Before finishing, Pete leaves one final message for The Collective.

"Thank you for being a company that cares, you made me happy."
